A storm is brewing and is why this month we have a quick look at the market stability and sentiment of OTA shareholders. More importantly we look closely at the change in booking climate, the expected online moves and targets. In particular GOOGLE TRAVEL and how it’s dominating the lead and sales funnel and adapting to the escape routes the big marketplaces are attempting. We look at pressure on webs, transition of hardware markets, mobile and the absolute need for Google to continue as the leading search engine. This means the best results for consumers on price, security, safety, trust, which is beginning to slide as they push corporations over local expertise.
Google is permeating every corner of online business
Google is the elephant in everyone’s room, dominates search, online advertising, has it’s finger in every media pie from phones to smart TV’s, home devices, mapping and much more. OTAs may get the brunt of a lot of press, but Google is pulling so many strings.
EVENTS AND “COVID EFFECT” TRENDS
This years events are now almost all online. Some of the important ones are listed here as we gravitate to a virtual world. Bearing in mind we are all supposed to be Staycation focused, surprising then that some of the stats presented this month would highlight overseas travel demand and the usual destinations apply. Maybe cities aren’t dead for VR just yet!
